Can I join more than one group?

There's no cap. Plenty of members are in Business Networking for the week and Brunch Crew for the weekend, plus whatever else fits - Fitness & Padel, Beach & Marina Social. Two to four groups is typical.

What's the group size? Won't it be spammy?

No group in the network runs past 250 members, and someone's always watching for promo drops, crypto pitches and random link-spam - they're pulled the moment they show up. It's built to feel like a group chat with friends, not a broadcast list.

I'm only in Dubai for 5 days. Worth joining?

If anything, a short trip is the best reason to join. Short-Stay Visitors gets you into a Downtown welcome dinner and a group of people at the same stage of their trip - you're not figuring out Dubai solo for five days.

I don't have WhatsApp. Another option?

Honestly, you'll want it anyway - Careem, padel bookings, desert-safari operators, half the businesses in this city run on WhatsApp. So installing it solves two problems at once. Can't install it at all? Use the contact page and we'll find another way to get you in.

Are these groups safe? Vetted?

Nobody gets added blind. We ask for one intro message - photo, name, home country, the group you want - before you're let in, and anyone flagged for scamming or harassment is out immediately. It's a community of people, not a directory of businesses.

Long-term Dubai residents and frequent travellers run Dubai People Club, built on the idea that nobody should have to go it alone here. What began as a single WhatsApp group has grown into a handful of active communities. Still run out of care, not for profit.

Anchored by the Downtown Dubai Wednesday session and a Dubai Marina Friday event, this group treats dance as the entire point - no alcohol, no small talk on the floor, just movement. A pre-dance tea circle eases newcomers in, and a post-dance dinner tends to be where the actual conversations happen once everyone has danced the day out of their system. Members occasionally organize trips to bigger ecstatic-dance events further afield when the local scene is not enough.
